Sex ed doesn’t happen in a predictable order.

One day it’s where babies come from. Then private parts. Then puberty. Then consent. Then porn. Then a question from the back seat that makes your brain briefly stop working.

Maybe your child has just asked. Maybe you’ve noticed a change, or heard what’s being said at school, and thought, I should probably say something.

However it starts, the question is the same: what do you say?

That’s what the Sex Education Toolkit Bundle is for. It gives you a toolkit for each of these topics, so you can get ready before the conversation comes up, instead of working it out on the spot.

The nine toolkits

Nine toolkits, each covering one topic properly. You won’t need them all at once. Open the one that fits what’s happening today.

Ready now

  • Puberty Toolkit (ages 6 to 18)
Work out what’s changing, what to talk about now and what can wait, then teach your child what to do about it, from deodorant to periods to wet dreams.
  • Sex Ed Q&A Toolkit (ages 3 to 18)
Find the question your child asked and get an answer for their exact age, in words you can say out loud.
  • Explaining Sex Toolkit (ages 3 to 18)
Work out how much to say about sex and where babies come from, then get the words and a way to bring it up.
  • Sex Ed Starter Toolkit (ages 0 to 18)
Your starting point for sex ed: know what to teach, how to start and what to say, even when you’re unsure. Come back to it as your child grows.

Arriving by the end of November

  • Period Toolkit
Decide what to say and do before and after your child’s first period, from the conversations and products to practical plans and the problems that come up.

Arriving later

  • Porn Safety Toolkit, January 2027
Talk about porn before your child comes across it, so they know what it is, what to do and who to tell.
  • Online Safety Toolkit, February 2027
Keep your kids safe online, without the nagging, guesswork or tech overwhelm.
  • Human Body Toolkit, April 2027
Teach your child about bodies, including body parts, how they work and the privacy boundaries that keep bodies safe.
  • Consent Toolkit, May 2027
Teach consent through the moments your child is already in, not one big conversation.

How access works

When you buy, you get access to every toolkit that’s ready.

Your purchase email has a link to all nine. For the toolkits I haven’t finished yet, the link takes you to a message confirming your purchase. When each one is ready, I’ll email you and you can open it.

You pay once. You don’t buy the later toolkits separately, and you don’t need to do anything to get them.

Worried about saying too much?

Children who get accurate, age-appropriate information make safer choices, not riskier ones. Staying quiet doesn’t keep a child innocent. It just means they learn it somewhere else, without you in the room.

🔒 Nothing you type into any of the tools is stored or sent anywhere.

Everything you need, at your fingertips

You may have tried a book, a webinar or an article. Good ones take time, and most of us are short of it. Each one covers a piece, and you end up putting the pieces together yourself.

The toolkits are built for busy parents. You don’t need to read a whole book or find the right webinar first. Open one on your phone and what you need is there: tools that find the answer, printables to keep, and videos and audio in some of them.

Who it’s for

Parents and carers of children and teens aged 0 to 18.

Your family might be religious, secular, conservative, progressive, or somewhere in between. I provide the facts and the words. You add your own family values around them.

It works whatever your family looks like, including same-sex parents, single parents, step and blended families, and children who came along through donor conception, IVF, surrogacy or adoption.

It’s for neurodivergent families too, whether that’s your child, you, or both of you. If your child needs things explained more literally, in smaller pieces, or with more time, there’s guidance inside for that. The facts stay the same.

And if you feel you should have started earlier, you’re not too late. Start from where your child is today.

About Cath

I’m Cath Hakanson, a nurse, midwife, sexologist and family sex educator with more than 30 years of experience. I’ve always wanted to create tools like these, and now I can. I’m all about making sex ed easier for parents, and these toolkits truly help you have those conversations.

I’m also a parent who’s had to find these words at my own kitchen table. I’m an autistic ADHDer, raising neurodivergent kids of my own. That combination shapes the way I teach: clear, practical, direct, and focused on the child in front of you.

No judgement. Just practical help with what to say next.

Be prepared, before you need the words

What's inside

How it works

FAQ

Nine toolkits: Puberty, Sex Ed Q&A, Explaining Sex, Sex Ed Starter, Period, Porn Safety, Online Safety, Human Body and Consent.

Four are ready now and the rest arrive one at a time, through to the end of May 2027.

In every toolkit

Every toolkit has a Neuro Adapter, a Troubleshooter and a Fear Buster. The Neuro Adapter helps you explain things in the way your child understands best. The Troubleshooter is for when a conversation goes off track. The Fear Buster is for when you’re nervous or doubting yourself.

Many toolkits also have conversation starters, script writers and Q&A tools, plus printables you can keep.

The Sex Education Toolkit Bundle gives you all nine toolkits, and every one is entirely web-based. Sign in and you’ll have ongoing access to the tools inside each toolkit, the printables you can keep, and the extra support tools. There’s no course to work through and no start date. Open the toolkit for the question you have today, get what you need, and come back the next time. The toolkits that are ready open as soon as you buy. The others open as I finish them, and I’ll email you each time.

A toolkit is a set of tools you open on your phone

Each toolkit is a set of tools you use online. There’s no book to get through first. You tell a tool about your child, or search the question they’ve asked, and it gives you the words. Many toolkits also come with printable guides.

Everything runs in your browser, so there’s nothing to install, and it works on a phone. Sign in, open the toolkit that fits what’s happening today, get what you need, and come back the next time. There’s no start date and no course to work through.

Nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere. Close the tab and it’s gone. To keep what you need, copy the words out or save and print the page.

Use it for as many children as you like, as often as you like. You pay once and it’s yours, with no subscription, no renewal and no separate purchase per child.

The toolkits that are ready open as soon as you buy. The others open as I finish them, and I’ll email you each time.

This is a digital product. Nothing physical will be shipped.

Will talking about sex and porn with my child give them ideas?
No. Children who get accurate, age-appropriate information make safer choices, not riskier ones. Staying quiet doesn’t keep a child innocent. It means they learn it somewhere else, without you in the room. There’s guidance inside every toolkit on how much to say.

What if I get nervous, freeze or say the wrong thing?
Every toolkit has a Fear Buster for when worry or doubt makes you hesitate. It also has a Troubleshooter for when a conversation doesn’t go the way you expected, whether your child goes quiet, or you freeze, ramble or get something wrong.

Will it work for my neurodivergent child, or for me?
Yes. Every toolkit has a Neuro Adapter, which helps you explain things more literally, in smaller pieces, or with more time. The facts stay the same and the teaching changes to fit. It’s for neurodivergent families, whether that’s your child, you, or both.

Will it fit our family and our beliefs?
Your family might be religious, secular, conservative, progressive, or somewhere in between. I provide the facts and the words, and you add your own family values around them. It works whatever your family looks like, including same-sex, single-parent, step and blended families.

Have I left it too late?
No. If your child is older and you’ve never said a word, you start from where they are today. The Sex Ed Starter Toolkit is a good first stop for knowing what to teach, how to start and what to say, and the rest are there when you need them.

Do I need all nine toolkits?
No. You won’t use them all at once. Most parents open the toolkit that fits what’s happening today. The rest are there for when your child’s age or questions change, so you’re not searching for help later.

Can I buy the toolkits one at a time instead?
Yes. Each toolkit is $59 AUD or $39 USD on its own, so all nine add up to $531 AUD or $351 USD. The bundle is $250 AUD or $169 USD. If a payment plan is available where you live, you’ll see it at checkout.

I already own some of these toolkits. What happens?
That’s great, it means you’ve already got started. The bundle includes all nine toolkits, including any you own. Because the bundle price is already reduced, I can’t offer a credit or discount for toolkits you’ve already bought.

When do the other toolkits arrive?
Four are ready now. The Period Toolkit arrives by the end of November. Porn Safety follows in January 2027, Online Safety in February, Human Body in April and Consent in May. I’ll email you as each one is ready.

Can I buy the bundle after 30 November?
No. The bundle closes on Monday 30 November at 11:59pm US Pacific (Tuesday 1 December, 3:59pm Perth) and won’t be extended. After that, the toolkits are available one at a time in the shop as they’re released.

What actually is this? Is it a book?
No, it’s nine toolkits you use online. You tell the toolkit about your child, or search the question they’ve asked, and it gives you the words. There’s no book to get through first and no course to sit down for. Open the toolkit that answers today’s question, get what you need, and go and have the conversation. Many also come with printable guides.

Do I need to download anything?
No. The tools run in your browser, so there’s nothing to install or update, and they work on a phone. The printables are there to download if you want them.

Does it save what I type in?
No. Nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere. Close the tab and it’s gone. Nobody sees what you asked, including me.

Can I keep what it gives me?
Yes. Copy the words straight out and paste them wherever you like, or save and print the page.

Can I use it for more than one child?
Yes, as many times as you like. There’s no limit, and no separate purchase per child.

Is it a one-time purchase?
Yes. You pay once and it’s yours, including each toolkit as it arrives. No subscription and no renewal.

Is there a payment plan?
If a payment plan is available where you live, you’ll see the option at checkout.
